MAUI

We recently got back from a wonderful trip to Maui with the boys during Brennan's October break.... It already feels like it was months ago :( It was so great to be able to go and hang out as a family with no other priorities! It was a little tricky getting there but we made it and had a great time! The boys were awesome on the plane both there and back! We were able to stay at a great property (thanks Frank!!) that had three different pools including a baby pool and a pool with a pirate ship/slides, etc, and another pool with a large waterslide for older kids...needless to say we wouldn't have had to leave the resort and the kids would've still had a blast!! Both boys actually loved the ocean too! Isaac loved just playing in the sand, getting water in his bucket and pouring it over whatever he had constructed. They both loved running in and out of the waves and Brennan had his first snorkeling lessons. He did great and kept wanting to go "diving" with Dad :) They were able to see lots of fish and a couple of eels out on the reef not far from shore. He also loved to continue practicing with his snorkel and mask in the pools! We did a "submarine" ride (or glass bottom boat, whatever you want to call it!), it was pretty cool they had people scuba dive off the boat and bring different ocean animals close to the windows for us to see...we were able to see an octopus which was Brennan's highlight! Isaac was a little bored on the boat..but was happy to see the sea turtle swimming next to the window! The other big excursion we did was visit the Maui Ocean Center...it's a pretty large aquarium with one of the coolest shark tanks I've ever seen....one where you walk through the tube and there are fish/shark/rays/etc swimming all around you (on top/sides and bottom) Both boys loved hanging out in there.... We were all sad to go but at least we're coming back to AZ in October (nice weather) and soon to be Halloween....Thanksgiving.....Christmas...etc...I LOVE this time of year!!!!!
